With its right-angled forms and remarkably flat surfaces, AXOR Citterio represented real innovation in bathroom design at the time of its launch. Almost 20 years later, the collection has attained the status of a design icon. Its exquisite surface finishes demand absolute technical precision of manufacture. Every cast body requires fine-tuning by hand as well as 20-percent more polishing (by hand, in a direction parallel to its edges) before plating in chrome or one of up to 15 AXOR FinishPlus surfaces.

At the wash basin, AXOR Citterio offers single-lever and wall-mounted single-lever mixers in a range of height. All feature intuitive joystick technology, available at the touch of the signature pin handle. Also, for wall or basin, AXOR Citterio three-hole-mixers come with minimalist lever handles or classic cross handles, as shown here. Designed to heighten awareness of water, all handle options are characterized by their fluid ease of operation. Similarly, the wall-mounted electronic basin mixer with infrared sensors instantly conserves water when hands are withdrawn.

Tall and slender, the floorstanding AXOR Citterio bathtub mixer makes an unforgettable impression. Eye-catching in its dimensionality – in the sheer, smooth expanse of its polished, reflective sheen – the mixer weds elegance of function to elegance of form. Crowning the faucet, the intuitive pin handle offers exceptional ease of use. The baton hand shower comes with both gentle Rain and focused MonoRain sprays.

At the bathtub, AXOR Citterio offers wall-mounted single-lever mixers with lever handles, three-hole mixers with lever or cross handles (for exposed and concealed installation), rim- or tile-mounted four-hole mixers, and a two-hole rim-mounted thermostatic mixer. Antonio Citterio founded his architecture and design studio in 1970, while still a student at the prestigious Politecnico di Milano.
